Based on real events and people, Get a Real Job began as a passion project to shine a light on an often-overlooked corner of the working world, non-profit fundraising—a job that’s filled with humor, humanity, and a dash of absurdity. Our proof of concept pilot will leave you feeling refreshed, hopeful, and eager to dive deeper into the lives of its characters.
At our series’ core Get a Real Job is a buddy-comedy with a diverse ensemble cast of co-workers. We strive to set ourselves apart, by offering a refreshing perspective with real-life insights into a hysterical workplace that’s never been seen before on TV.
As creatives, our goal is to give audiences something both entertaining and true to life, while also using the show as a lens to explore the real-world challenges young people face today.
With our concept pilot and web-exclusive episodes, we aim to build attention, interest, and an audience for our series. Accomplishing this will help show interested parties that this concept has longevity as a full series.
